A good idea would be to start with the Paranthewali Gali. It became a famous gourmet locality when the parantha shops moved here in the 1870s. This lane has been the haunt of many celebrities of India. In the years after Independence, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and his family members - Indira Gandhi and Vijaylaxmi Pandit - came here to take their parantha meals. Jayaprakash Narayan and Atal Behari Vajpayee were also among the regular visitors.
1. Shree Balaji Chaat Bhandar :
Legend has it that every evening little donas (leaf plates) make their way to shops lining the labyrinthine streets of Chandni Chowk. tea-time snack ordered by shopkeepers from no other place but Shree Balaji Chaat Bhandar (also called Radha Swamy Chaat Bhandar). Almost every street has its own chaat stall but Balaji's chaat stands apart for its old-world flavour. The Papdi Chaat for instance comes topped with kachaalu chutney and sweet-sour sonth that's unlike sonths made elsewhere. There is also Aloo Puri, Gol Gappe and Dahi Bhalle, but Papdi Chaat is the king here.
2.Aloo Chaat :
Aloo Chaat is a dish made of diced potatoes spiced with chilli, cumin, chaat masala, chutney and coriander. One of the most common forms of chaat available in the streets of Delhi, this snack is prepared at home with equal fervor.
3. Natraj Dahi Bhalle Papdi :
Here you can enjoy the famous Dahi Bhalle Papdi. this is a famous shop of Chandni chowk.
